Kelly Dunster
Kelly founded Hound-Ed in 2007 . she has over twenty years in the pet industry as well as many years in customer service and education. Kelly initially studied a Foundation Degree in Canine behaviour and training through the University of Hull. She then studied grooming under the tuition of award winning groomers Agnes Murphy and Colin Taylor at Scotgroom academy before going on to complete an Aim Level three diploma. She has a successful salon ,established for 18 years in Fife . Kelly identified a need locally for a high quality training school and so began studying towards a Level three in adult education and the Hound-Ed grooming academy was born. Kelly has trained students who have gone on to have successful business from Linlithgow to right on her doorstep in Rosyth.
she is owned by one lurcher , two ponies, hopefully some chickens this year and lives with her husband Barry.
Kirstie Mccormick
Kirstie has been working as a professional groomer at Hound-Ed for 10 years. She started her professional life as a hairdresser and has excellent scissoring skills. Kirsties’ love of animals encouraged her to diversify her skillset and she retrained to work within the pet grooming industry. She has studied for her AIM level 3 diploma so is able to guide students through the process to achieve this award.
Kirstie is an advocate of lifelong learning and is excited to develop her own skillset through the delivery of training for others.
Kirstie is owned by a Shih tzu , is mum to her son Hughie and lives with her partner Francis.
